The most important document

Well before I had even decided to make Clear New Memory, I had been working on trying to finalise a design for Moon Doggie from July to December 2024 - Infact, designing this character sheet took longer than key animation for the entire short film!

That’s not to say drawing this one page took 5 months…but rather I went through so many different iterations and drew so many different drawings of this character to fully understand what he should look like in that time. (all the while working on other things too) It was a long and exhaustive process, but ultimately very very fun! I feel like i’ve learned a lot about Moon Doggie’s design since finishing this sheet last year and using it for animation. I was surpirised at how much my way of drawing him evolved over time. Maybe one day I’ll need to draft up a newer design for him!
